Washburn Family Clinic is a provider based Rural Health Clinic affiliated with Community Memorial Hospital of Turtle Lake, a Critical Access Hospital. Jane Christianson, FNP (see below) sees patients at the clinic as well as covers call at the hospital.
The Washburn Family Clinic offers full range Family Practice Services including care of all chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and asthma. Routine physicals for adults and children. Well woman exams with an association with "Women's Way", which offers free Well Womean exams to women over 40 who are uninsured or underinsured. Same day appointments available.
We offer complete lab and x-ray services, bone density screenings, ultrasounds, drug screening for workplace as well as occupational medicine and injury care.
Physical Therapy is provided by a Physical Therapist three days a week.
Surgical consults with a consulting surgeon from Mid Dakota Clinic on a monthly basis.
Jane Christianson, FNP
Jane Christianson has been a Nurse Practitioner for 25 years, graduating from the University of North Dakota Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Program in 1983. She has had numerous years of experience in Family Practice, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine and Occupational Health. She has a strong interest in treatment and care of patients with Diabetes. Her philosophy regarding patient care is to empower each patient to understand and be in charge of their own health and wellness.
Jane grew up in Velva and recently returned to North Dakota after living out of state for over 20 years. She thoroughly enjoys working in Washburn and being an active member of the community.
